Before Your Reiki Healing:
A gentle invitation.
Dear Wild Heart,
As your session approaches, I invite you to begin arriving - not just on the day, but in the gentle days and hours before.
Let this be a soft act of overdue selfcare. A quiet return to yourself.
Some gentle words of guidance...
-
Drink plenty of water the day before and after. We’re moving energy, and water is its river.
-
Wear something comfortable. No tight waistbands or heavy fabrics. Keep it light. You are here to soften.
-
Eat lightly beforehand. Something nourishing, but not heavy. Allow your belly to rest easy.
A simple invitation.
If you’re able, spend a few moments outside - barefoot if it feels good. Let the earth greet you. Let the wind disperse what no longer serves you. Take a couple of deep breaths and open yourself to the potential of your unfolding.
On the day...
-
It's good to arrive a few minutes early - ten minutes if this is your first appointment. I’ll greet you at the door with warmth and calm.
-
If you're feeling nervous - know that this is okay. Many do. Rest assured, your emotions will be held with utmost care and compassion.
-
It is common to fall into a deep state of relaxation during your Reiki treatment. If you fall asleep, I will take this as a compliment.
-
You might experience waves of emotion during your treatment. If you feel the desire to cry, let your tears spill. It will not hinder your healing ceremony.
After your session.
In the hours that follow, you might like to make time for yourself. Your Reiki Ceremony does more than simply relax the body - it softens the parts that have hardened, loosening what's long been held.
This can leave you feeling emotionally sensitive and vulnerable, as if an old ache has been acknowledged for the first time.
These feelings are not new - they are revealed.
Your energy is rebalancing.
Old energy is being stirred so it can finally move.
Hold space for this and allow yourself to experience the full range of emotions.
Thank you for choosing to step into your own unfolding.
For showing up for yourself in this quiet, powerful way.
I’m looking forward to holding space for your beautiful essence.
From my heart to yours,
Jemma Louise Hunt
